Quality Engineer
Description
Keystone Powdered Metal Company has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer.
Core Responsibilities
- Represent Quality Assurance in Advanced Product Quality Planning activities, working closely with other departments, customers, suppliers and subcontractors on new product launches.
- Lead projects focused on quality improvements to drive manufacturing productivity, including scrap reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Act as liaison between customer and manufacturing/engineering on quality issues.
- Work with Purchasing to address supplier quality issues.
- Assist in the development and execution of training programs throughout the manufacturing and quality areas.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills –
- Technical degree in a Quality or Engineering related discipline
- Customer-driven sense of urgency
- Ability to lead, train, and drive change
- Teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Minitab
